It was probably the most capable gun of the Italian army during the WWII, open structure and low ammunition capacity together with the very low number built made it a not significant weapon during the war. It performed well during theAfrican and Sicily campaigns, but not in the north of Italy, where in German hands after the 1943 armistice end up as an artillery piece.
